Bob Metzger / Photography

Bob’s life may be full of adventure, but clearly he knows how to seize the moment to capture the drama and beauty around us. We asked him if he’d share a bit about the overlap between photography and his still busy work life.

This is what he wrote:

“I've been interested in photography for close to 50 years. But I'm interested in too many things, so it is just a serious hobby. I'm still working full time, but I frequently carry a camera. These photos, from walks, hikes, and other adventures, represent several of the subject areas that interest me most - scenic landscapes, dramatic lighting, aesthetic contrasts, and natural beauty. I try to take photos that evoke the moment and show how so many situations can be impactful visually.

At Midd, I was an English major, with a near minor in Chemistry, and some interest in the social sciences. As a lawyer now, I work with technology and public policy. Photography satisfies my aesthetic interests that are outside the domains of my work.”
